Pavan Fans 'Sacrifice' For Puli

Frenzied fans of power star Pawan Kalyan on Friday resorted to “animal sacrifice” to please the gods in Tirupati for the success of his latest film “Komaram Puli,” which later became just “Puli.”

The fans dragged a goat in the premises of Jayashyam theatre screening Komaram Puli and slaughtered it in the full view of the audience. Some women and children seeing the heinous act, with blood gushing out from goat’s throat and the animal making unpleasant convulsions, ran helter skelter.

The movie, which was screened in six halls, created a commotion with hundreds of youth competing to obtain the tickets in the black, shelling 20 to 30 times more than ticket’s cost. Neither the police nor the revenue officials seemed to bother about the unruly situation.
