Comedy hero turns a villain for producers

Hitherto, we have heard that outdated Telugu film hero Dr Rajasekhar was notorious for harassing producers by turning up to shootings very late. But now, he has been overshadowed by rising comedy hero Allari Naresh, going by the talk in the Film Nagar circles.

Naresh who is demanding remuneration of Rs 1 crore for his films might not have given any big hits so far; but he has already become a nightmare for the producers. According to grapevine, it has become a regular habit for Naresh to do pub-hopping and boozing all through the night and come to shootings very late causing a lot of discomfiture to the co-artistes and producers.

Though he gets actively involved and follows the director’s orders once the shooting begins, his “regularly irregular” behaviour in coming late to the shootings is causing heavy losses to the producers; as shooting involves not only the hero, but also hundreds of technicians and scores of actors. There is a sharp criticism in the industry that this kind of behaviour from Naresh would damage his career in the long run.

Industry sources said even his father E V V Satyanarayana is unhappy with his son’s behaviour. Known in the industry as “Producers’ director,” EVV had hardly made any films that bombed at the box office, because of his discipline and perfectionism. And Naresh has now damaged his father’s reputation. Though EVV tried to discipline his son as he understands the problems of a producer, Naresh has gone out of his hands long ago.

Hope Naresh will give up his unprofessional attitude at the earliest and correct himself, so that he would bring a good name not only to the industry but also his proud father.
