Shame on you, Mr Chiranjeevi

More than anybody else, it was Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu who was happy with the way Praja Rajyam Party president K Chiranjeevi announced his party’s support to the Rosaiah government and attacked Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy on the corrupt deals.

It helped Naidu in two ways: first, it exposed the weakness of the Congress party and then, the corrupt practices of Jagan were pointed out by another political party. The TDP president, thus, made an attack on Chiranjeevi for extending his party’s support to the Rosaiah government. “It should be shame on you, Chiranjeevi, for supporting an inefficient Congress government, which had failed to check corruption on all fronts. Where is the social justice that he is talking about?” he criticized.

He also took advantage of Chiranjeevi’s comments against Jagan and demanded that the government order inquiry into the ill-gotten wealth of such politicians. “The entire mining wealth in the state is completely in the hands of Y S Rajasekhara Reddy family,” he alleged.

The PRP president’s U-turn on his statement against Jagan was also gave a lot of relief to Naidu, as it would only expose the weakness of Chiranjeevi as a political leader. He is now sure that the Congress would not rely on him any more.
