Jagan camp’s new strategy on new party

The camp of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is believed to have changed their strategy, in the wake of the Congress high command’s antipathy towards him.

According to the latest strategy, the Jagan camp will continue to deny the reports of any plans to float a new regional party in the state, while getting ready for the same. Under any circumstances, they would not take any steps or make any comments that would lead to the speculations that he would float a new party.

The pro-Jagan leaders continue to give statements that he would not leave the party at any cost. “There is no question of Jagan leaving the Congress party and floating a new party of his own. He would continue to be in the Congress,” Jagan loyalist and Jammalamadugu MLA Adinarayana Reddy said.

At the same time, the Jagan camp has a lot of clarity as to what to do in the event of he being expelled from the party. “He might not leave the Congress; but that does not mean he would remain subservient to the party leadership. He would go ahead with is own programme of action as usual. It is for the high command to decide how to tackle him and he is prepared to face any eventuality,” a Jagan loyalist said.
