Genelia to play a Portuguese princess

It’s just that Genelia has taken up a new passion. And the passion is horse riding thanks to her new role in Santosh Sivan’s film.

Genelia has signed Sivan’s period film Urmi. The film is based in the 15th century and Genelia plays a Portuguese Princess and according to Santosh, it will be a bilingual made in Tamil and Malayalam (Santosh’s mothertongue).

Urmi will also have south superstar Prithviraj playing the male lead. The film is the story of a boy who wants to kill Vasco Da Gama, the first sailor to explore India.
