Ameesha Patel hospitalised

Ameesha Patel is in Hyderabad recovering from her fainting spell on the sets of her film.

The actress was shooting for a Telugu film when she collapsed and was admitted to a hospital. Her mother Asha Patel immediately rushed from Mumbai to be by beti’s side.

The actress has been greiving after her Nani (maternal grandmother), who she was very close to, passed away. She was completely devasted over the loss. But the show must go on, and so she reported for work, despite her family members telling her to take it easy. But the actress wanted to immerse herself into her work to get over the pain.

Says an eye-witness, "Ameesha just collapsed while on the set. Crew members instantly took her to a hospital where she was put on intravenous drip."

Ashmit said: "Yes Ameesha was hospitalised.I think the stress of losing our grandma a few days back and the heat and dust at her shoot in Hyderabad took a toll on her. Also, there’s a round of very strong viral infection doing the rounds in the city. Fortunately my mom is around to take care of her. In fact she has almost recovered and is on her way to resume shooting."
