Vijayashanti plays hide and seek with cops

Telangana Rashtra Samithi MP from Medak Vijayashanti virtually played hide and seek with the police on Friday to dodge her arrest in connection with the violation of model code of conduct for the by-elections.

Following the orders from the Election Commission of India, the Banjara Hills police booked a case against Vijayashanti on Thursday night for making explosive statement a couple of days ago calling upon the people of Telangana to chop off anybody who came in the way of separate state formation.

On Friday, they went to Vijayashanti’s house at Banjara Hills to arrest her, but they returned empty handed when the inmates told them that she was not available at home. Inquiries, however, revealed that she was very much there in her bedroom, making calls to TRS president K Chandrasekhara Rao and other seniors on what to do.

An hour later, Vijayashanti surfaced from her house and straightway went to a private hospital and got herself admitted on complaints of chest pain. Her party colleagues say she might surrender before the police later in the evening or on Saturday. Perhaps, she wants to create a big drama by surrendering to the police along with hundreds of party workers.
