'VH is a waste fellow'

Rajya Sabha member V Hanumantha Rao’s outburst against Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy evoked sharp reaction from Jagan’s camp. While the Jagan supporters burnt his effigy in at Tukkuguda of Maheshwaram mandal in Ranga Reddy district and raised slogans against him, several leaders found fault with VHR for ridiculing Jagan’s rallies as part of Odarpu Yatra and saying that the crowds were mobilised by spending crores of rupees.

Congress MLA from Udayagiri Mekapati Chandrasekhara Reddy described VHR as a ‘waste fellow’ in the Congress party and no stature to criticize Jagan. He ridiculed that VHR could not win even as a corporator, but was daring to attack Jagan. He declared that he and his MP brother Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy would support Jagan and participate in the yatra.

Tirupati Urban Development Authority chairman Ch Bhaskara Reddy said he would provide Rs 10 crore for VHR either by beginning, borrowing or stealing, and challenged that he would cut his ear, if VHR mobilised even 1,000 people. “He was never a people’s man,” Reddy said.
