Title Faults Can Lead To Star Wars

The headline might sound a bit complicated but a closer look will reveal a fact that most of you would agree.

We are talking about the titles bestowed upon our stars and how a small error either in the pronunciation or in the name can lead to some major chaos from their fans. The south Indian cine circuit is known for its title mania to noted heroes given the fact that they enjoy nothing less than a demigod status. The bygone era had some tongue twisting and rather challenging titles.

For instance, the great N T Rama Rao was known as Vishwavikyathanatasaarvabhowma Nataratna while the veteran actor Kaikala Satyanarayana is known as Navarasa Natanasaarvabhowma. Years have passed and titles have taken a new shape making things easy for the fans. Notable among them is the ‘star’ tag which seems to be patented to the mega family. While Chiranjeevi is known as ‘Megastar’, his brother Pawan Kalyan is known as ‘Power Star’.

On the other hand, thespian Akkineni Nageswara Rao is ‘Nata Samrat’ while his son Nagarjuna was known till recently as ‘Yuva Samrat’ before it got transferred to his son Naga Chaitanya. Nag is happy with ‘King’ now. ANR’s grandson Sumanth is known as ‘Nava Samrat’. On another league is the Nandamuri clan with Balakrishna holding onto ‘Yuvaratna’ while NTR jr has ‘Young Tiger’.

Then there is Prabhas who has ‘young rebel star’ just like his uncle Krishnamraju who is known as ‘Rebel Star’. The Manchu family has got Mohan Babu as ‘Collection King’ while his son Manoj is known as ‘Rock Star’. There are few other interesting titles like Real Star for Srihari, Aggressive Star for Gopichand, Crazy Star for Ravi Teja. Amongst heroines, the sole title holder happens to be Jayasudha who is known as ‘Sahaja Nati’.
