Show-cause notice to Jagan

The saga of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s revolt against the Congress high command is going on expected lines.

The high command on Monday decided to serve a show-cause notice on Jagan for defying the high command in going ahead with his Odarpu Yatra and making derogatory statements against the party leadership in general and chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy in particular. The notice, signed by AICC disciplinary committee secretary Janardhan Dwivedi, would be served on Jagan by evening. An official statement would be made by AICC incharge of AP affairs Veerappa Moily later in the day.

Things moved fast since the return of Moily from his foreign tour early on Monday and he immediately closeted with other senior leaders of the AICC, who had conveyed to him that Sonia Gandhi had taken serious note of Jagan’s aggressive posture and provocative remarks.

Apparently, she was agitated over the way Jagan was making overtures to the party MLAs and ministers to join hands with him and split  the party in the state. The show-cause notice would be a deterrent to such leaders from joining hands with Jagan, party sources said.
