Sameera’s ‘de-glam’ roles

Despite scorching the ramp at a recent fashion show in the city, Sameera Reddy who is in Chennai to shoot for her upcoming Gautham Menon film has had a quite ‘de-glam’ week.

Well, that’s because both her films that released on Friday Red Alert in Hindi and Oru Naal Varum in Malayalam  have her in de-glam, performance-oriented roles. And going by media reports and the response she’s getting on her micro-blogging page, audiences seem to love this side of the actress too!

“Yes, the response has been very good,” gushes the actress. Prod her further, and this is what she has to say. “It was actually Vaaranam Aayiram and the character I played in it that made me opt for performance-oriented roles. Now, even if it’s a commercial film, I ensure that there’s scope for me to perform.” Now, that gives us more reason to look forward to Gautham’s thriller flick.
