Rosaiah cabinet divided over Jagan yatra

The Rosaiah cabinet seems to be totally divided over the ongoing Odarpu Yatra of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, which concluded in Srikakulam district on Sunday evening.

While some ministers like P Vishwarup, P Subhash Chandra Bose and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy have openly supported Jagan’s yatra and even declared that they would participate in the yatra, many others have tried to distance themselves from the yatra. On Sunday, four ministers N Raghuveera Reddy, P Balaraju, Mopidevi Venkataramana and Shilpa Mohan Reddy --  who met at the residence of Raghuveera, told the media that Jagan’s tour was completely his family affair and neither the party nor the government had anything to do with it.

“There was no instruction from the high command or Rosaiah for us not to go Jagan’s yatra. We would take a decision whether to participate in the yatra when it comes to our respective districts. But, one thing is certain. We are not feeling tortured for not attending the yatra, as claimed by Jagan,” they said.

The ministers also reminded that the Rosaiha government had celebrated the YSR birthday in a grand manner and treated the YSR family with all respect.
