Red-faced Rosaiah looks up to high command

The tremendous response from the people to Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to his “Odarpu Yatra” in Srikakulam district has made chief minister K Rosaiah completely red faced.

His attempt to buy peace with Jagan by securing a “conditional clearance” from the high command to the yatra boomeranged on him, as the defiant Kadapa MP went ahead with his tour without succumbing to any conditions and putting up a massive show. That the chief minister had lost his face was clearly visible in his actions in the assembly on Thursday.

He lost his cool several times when media persons posed questions to him on Jagan’s yatra and why he had made contradictory statements in Hyderabad and Delhi. He said there was no change in his stand and what he clarified in New Delhi was the high command’s stand which was already mentioned in Jagan’s open letter. “Even in Hyderabad, I was only mentioning about Jagan’s letter. I only said the leadership was not against the yatra but the manner in which it was being conducted. The yatra should be one of condolence and not like a victory march," he pointed out.

The chief minister said since Jagan had not followed the advice of the high command, now it was for the latter to decide what action it should take against him. “I am not sending any report. The high command is aware of everything,” he said.
