Lindsay Lohan assaulted by waitress

Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan, who turned 24 on Friday, claims she was attacked by a waitress while she was enjoying a night out at a restaurant.

Lohan claims she was attacked "for no reason", reports contactmusic.com.

"A waitress just hit me - punched me for no reason," Lohan posted on micro blogging site Twitter. However, Lohan had no wild plans for her birthday owing to an alcohol-monitoring bracelet that she has to wear as part of her probation for driving under the influence of alcohol.

"I mean there’s not much you can do with a monitoring bracelet and no money," one of Lohan’s friends was quoted as saying.

She is due to appear in court on Tuesday, where it shall be determined how well she is adhering to the court imposed restrictions.
