Jagan may not float new party now

Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who staged a revolt of sorts against the Congress high command, may not float a new political party immediately even if he is expelled from the Congress party, sources close to him said.

It, in fact, appears as if Jagan himself is very eager to get suspended or expelled from the Congress party so that it would give him more moral strength and an opportunity to speak out boldly against the Rosaiah government and for that matter, the Congress party which is looking down upon the family of YSR, despite the latter’s great service to the party as well as the state. However, the Congress high command is adopting a wait and watch approach till it takes any disciplinary action against the MP.

Sources said hereafter, Jagan would go more aggressively in mobilizing support to his claim for the chief minister’s seat for the next few months. His next step would be taking out a padayatra like his father YSR did in 2003 and it might begin from the first death anniversary of his father. “He will try to bring the entire party cadre at the field level into his grip before floating the new party. However, it all depends on how the Telangana issue will take a shape after December 31,” sources said.
