The maverick movie maker Mani Ratnam who is known for his strong script driven movies came up with his latest venture ‘Raavan’. As the title indicates, this was meant to be an inspiration from the legendary epic and giving it a new age characterization to today’s society.

While this attempt seems to have not worked much in terms of appreciation from the audience, here is news. Sources from Chennai reveal that Mani is contemplating on making up for this and so, he is looking to come up with a new movie that will be based on the character of Draupadi.

Well, this character has a strong role to play in the Mahabharata so Mani is said to be considering this option. Those who heard this say that it is a challenge of sorts since the portrayal has got to be sensitive so that it doesn’t attract any controversies from the women organizations.
