Mani Ratnam Shocked With Censor Board

The maverick movie maker Mani Ratnam is usually known to give shocks to his cast and crew and sometimes the audience as well. This is through his movies and the meticulous preparations and capturing of scenes. But this time, Mani has got a taste of his own medicine, albeit for a good reason.

It is heard that Mani has received a shock from the censor board. Usually, it is Mani who gives the censor board few sleepless nights as his movies tend to contain something controversial or a dialogue that can cause jitters and his films get a minimum of ‘U/A’ certification.

But this time, the censor board has granted ‘Raavana’ and ‘Villain’, Mani’s film with a clean ‘U’ certificate. Mani is said to be finding it unbelievable and is rubbing his eyes to ensure that it is true. The film is hitting the screens on the 18th of this month and Mani is still in a daze about the certification.
