Lucky mascot Sania Mirza?

So the ban on Pakistani cricketer and Hyderabad’s famous ‘damaad’ Shoaib Malik is lifted. Predictably, twitter enthusiast Sania Mirza tweeted her happiness over the news of her husband getting back to active cricket.

Well, it is surely better to be playing on the field than watching people play tennis from the sidelines. But if responses to her tweet are any indication, those following her seem to think that Malik’s marriage with the tennis player has brought him good luck.

One of them is filmmaker Anurag Basu who tweeted saying that Mirza had been lucky for him. Marriage does change fortunes of people. Wonder what Basu would need to turn his fortunes after Kites bombed. Just a thought!
