Jagan asks Kadapa leaders

Kadapa MP Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy is now at a crucial junction. He is relentlessly consulting all his followers as to what he should do in the event of high command completely ignoring his request to conduct Odarpu Yatra.

Jagan, who has been lying low for the last one week after postponing his tour plan, went to Kadapa on a five-day visit. He closeted with local Congress leaders at Pulivendula on Monday and sought their feedback on what he should do in the coming days.

Apparently, he was not happy with the way majority of the Congress leaders in Hyderabad, from whom he had expected a lot of support, reacted to his plan. They advised him not to go against the wishes of the high command. “It was unfortunate that even Veerappa Moily who had been supporting me in Delhi all these days, changed his colours,” he lamented.

Jagan’s supporters in Kadapa told him to make up his mind to fight back and restore the glory of his father’s rule. A couple of leaders, however, suggested that he should continue to bring pressure on the high command to give him consent. They told him to go ahead with the tour even if he did not get permission.

Meanwhile, Jagan decided to continue his mass-contact programme in a different way. During his stay in Kadapa, he would participate in various programmes and seek the support of the people.
