Rajakumari jumps to Congress

Speculations about TDP spokesperson N Rajakumari joining the Congress party gained ground in the corridors of the Secretariat as she met chief minister K Rosaiah for about 15 minutes on Friday.

Though Rajakumari later said she had met the CM in her capacity as an MLC to highlight problems being faced by farmers in Tenali region, political circles felt she was trying for a re-entry into the Congress.

The rumours gained ground specially after her recent meeting in Guntur where she openly accused TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu of being driven by a coterie and not rewarding party workers who do the real work at the ground level. She had also met Naidu and explained that she had no intention to quit TDP and apologised for her remarks.

Earlier, she had invited CM K Rosaiah to inaugurate an exhibition of paintings organised by her in Hyderabad. Both Rosaiah and Rajakumari belong to Tenali area and are old friends.
