Naidu's sudden love for YSR schemes

One wonders why Telugu Desam Party president N Chandrababu Naidu has developed sudden love towards the schemes introduced by his arch rival and former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy.

Naidu came down heavily on the Rosaiah government for not implementing the “pro poor” promises made by YSR such as increased quota of subsidised rice from 20 kg to 30 kg a month and increasing free power supply for agriculture from seven hours to nine hours. “Both the promises would have benefited the poor people very much,” he said.

It is obvious that the TDP president does not leave any opportunity to gain political mileage from any issue, even if requires praising of his rivals. When YSR was alive, Naidu was saying it was not practicable to implement the sops because of heavy burden on the exchequer. Now, when Rosaiah was doing the same, he is criticising the government. That is Naidu’s style of politics.
