Kites release worldwide 2,300 screens

Reliance BIG Pictures’ and Rakesh Roshan’s eagerly awaited romantic film Kites will release on May 21 in over 2,300 screens worldwide. Of these, 1,850 screens are in India and 450 screens overseas, making Kites the largest ever release in India and overseas.

Not just that, we hear, some exhibitors are very keen to have shows at 6.30 am, while some want to schedule as many as 35 shows of the film in one day. The West Bengal territory for the film has been sold at Rs 3-3.5 crore, an amount that no other Bollywood film has commanded so far. The film will premiere in New York on May 16 and in London on May 18.
