Jagan camp getting ready

The ongoing controversy within the Congress over the implementation of welfare and developments schemes taken up by previous Y S Rajasekhara Reddy government has come as a blessing in disguise for Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Analysts say Jagan now has ample reason to hit out at the Rosaiah government for throwing up his hands in the implementation of the YSR schemes. His camp is said to be getting ready to launch a vigorous campaign all over the state in the coming days stating that Rosaiah lacks the guts and sincerity in implementing the schemes.

“It needs a lot of courage to provide succour to the poor. YSR had that courage. He was never worried about the money factor and used to say that where there is a will there is a way. He had that will power, which the present chief minister lacks.

He is trying to shift the blame on his cabinet colleagues by appointing a sub committee to go into the schemes. If he continues for a long time, it is certain that the welfare schemes would be gradually dumped one after the other,” a Jagan aide remarked.

The Jagan camp, while taking this argument strongly into the people, will also prevail upon the Congress high command for change of guard in the state, lest the people would lose faith on the Congress party. “It is a question of credibility for the party, for which YSR was strongly committed to,” the Jagan camp leader said.
