None of Genelia’s Bollywood movies (apart from Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na) have created a stir at the box office. But since she is this chirpy, cutesy thing, she’s now very much in demand on the advertising circuit. Also, reports say that unlike the heavyweights Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra who charge megabucks for their endorsements, Genelia comes with a moderate price tag.

Adwallahs, who are always on the lookout for basement bargain ‘girl next door’ types, find that Genelia suits the budget and she effectively carries the message to the consumers as well. No wonder then that the girl is more visible on the small screen than the big one. Well we are sure that Genelia must be making a lot of money all thanks to the ads that she is being offered, but when it comes to plum roles, hardly anyone seems to be taking her into consideration.
