Anti YSR group consolidating in Kadapa

Even as Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy is gearing up to fight against the Rosaiah government in the name of implementation of welfare schemes launched by late chief minister Y S Rajasekhar Reddy, a rival group is gradually emerging in the district.

In fact, there was once an anti YSR group in Kadapa district in the past, but the late chief minister had successfully crushed his rivals. Now that YSR is not there, this rival group is gradually rising its head so as to put an end to the YSR family hegemony in the district.

Former minister D L Ravindra Reddy is playing an active role in mobilising the support of YSR opponents and planning to complain to Congress high command against Y.S Jaganmohan Reddy. This group has already attracted two MLCs and an MLA from Kadapa, who had been opposing YSR hegemony. An attempt is being made by Ravindra Reddy to attract more and more leaders into anti-Jagan camp.

It is learnt some leaders, who had direct contacts with chief minister K Rosaiah, are coming forward to unite Jagan opponents. The Congress leaders in the district are now in a state of confusion and it is only a matter of time that the group rivalry comes to the fore.
