Shruti roped in for 3 Idiots remake?

After Shruti Haasan expressed an inclination to do a Tamil film with Suriya for Murugadas, the actress has been flooded with offers from Kollywood. The latest buzz is that she has been approached by Gemini Film Circuit for their Tamil remake of 3 Idiots to co-star oppoIdiots, site Vijay.

When the project was in its early stages, the makers were keen to get a girl from Bollywood and they initiated talks with Katrina Kaif. Insiders said they wanted a heroine who would match Vijay's superstar image, but though Katrina was eager to do the role, she had to decline due to non-availability of dates. So their next choice was Shruti Haasan.
