Samajika Telangana has no takers

Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi has admitted that the “Samajiika Telangana” slogan was a farce and it had not helped the party in any manner.

“In the last elections, we went to polls with Samajika Telangana slogan, promising a Telangana state with social justice. But, the people are not interested in separate Telangana at all, leave alone a separate state with social justice. The slogan did not go down well with the people. Hence, they did not vote for us,” he said, while addressing the party workers.

The PRP president said that the people of Telangana do not want separate Telangana state was evident from the way they rejected even the Telangana Rashtra Samithi, which had claimed to have born only for the sake of Telangana. “Not even once did the TRS get complete mandate from the people,” he pointed out.
