PRP won't merge with any party: Chiru

Praja Rajyam Party president and Tirupati MLA K Chiranjeevi today asserted that there was no question of merging his party with the ruling Congress or any other organisation.

"Some parties have been deliberately spreading canards about us that we will merge with Congress or other parties. Let me reassure you that it (merger) will never happen," Chiranjeevi told the PRP state committee at its meeting here.

The PRP state committee meeting was held ahead of the party president's meeting with the five member Srikrishna Committee here tomorrow to present its case against the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh. He said that the PRP would remain a potent force in the state politics and exhorted his party rank and file to effectively counter the malicious propaganda.

Chiranjeevi lashed out at the Congress and the Telugu Desam Party saying they were trying to "confuse our cadre" since the PRP was growing stronger.
