Paiya's success surprises

Lingusamy, the director of Paiya is all smiles. And he has reason enough for the same. The director is happy with the success of the film and says that he had expected a 100 percent success but got a 200 percent in return.

The director has done super hits like Run and Anandam which belonged to different genres. The director intended to bring all those audiences that liked these movies and seems to have achieved his target, what with the movie becoming a superhit.

According to him, Paiya made it because the audiences were interested in seeing a decent and stylish film instead of ‘dirt and filth’. The movie will leave behind block busters like Sivaji, Vettaikaran and Dasavatharam in terms of collection. The movie stars Karthi Sivakumar and Tamanna in the lead and has Bollywood actor playing the villain. The music scores are by Yuvan Shankar Raja.

After the grand success of the flick, Cloud Nine Movies will be seen teaming up with Lingusamy for an upcoming Tamil project with Simbu. Cloud Nine’s other upcoming projects include Ajith’s 50th film with Gautham Menon and a multi starrer directed by Venkat Prabhu along with Vettrimaran's next with G.V Prakash, Vel Raj and Simbu.
