Jagan's tour creates tension in Chiru

The tremendous response being received by Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy to his Odarpu Yatra has caused a sort of insecurity feeling in Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi.

The PRP president is said to be feeling left out completely and fearing that he would become totally insignificant in the present day politics. Like Jagan, Chiranjeevi also wants to tour different parts of the state and gain support from the people. He wants to test his waters with his constitutency tour and understand the people’s problems.

According to party sources, Chiranjeevi would make a two-day tour in Tirupati on April 12 and 13. He wants to hold a review meeting with the officials on the local issues, particularly the water scarcity. He would also hold meeting with the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Executive Officer Mr IYR Krishna Rao on the issues pertaining to the rehabilitation of the Tirumala displaced families, problems of the people at the Balaji Nagar in Tirumala and the interests of the pilgrims in general.

In view of the forthcoming mayoral elections, he is expected to initiate steps for strengthening the party cadres in Tirupati, party sources said.
