Jagan buys slots in channels for his tour?

Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy, who has been undertaking “Odarpu Yatra” in West Godavari district for the last three days, is getting the maximum media coverage in three television channels: Sakshi, NTV and TV-5.

Sakshi channel, of course, belongs to Jagan himself. And the other two channels are also known to be the pro-YSR camp because of benami investments from YSR beneficiaries. However, it was surprising to find all the three channels telecasting the same programme with same background music and with same visuals, covering the tour of Jagan so exhaustively, rather than as normal news reports being telecast by other channels. Inquiries revealed that Jagan had bought large slots in these two channels at a high tariff, so that he would get the maximum mileage.

It may be mentioned that these were the two channels which had telecast a report based on a website that Ambanis of Reliance company had a hand in the YSR helicopter crash on September 2, which led to arsoning of several Reliance outlets all over the state. They supported Jagan all through in the episode.
