Chiru apes Jagan with his bus yatra

The recent success of Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy’s yatra in West Godavari and Khammam districts seems to have given a lot of inspiration to Praja Rajyam Party president Chiranjeevi.

The PRP president, who badly needs restoration of his image among the people, has decided to take out a “bus yatra” in West Godavari district to demand “national project” status to Polavaram project. He will tour the areas falling in the command area of the project and mobilise the people’s support for his demand. Obviously, Chiranjeevi is of the view that Polavaram is an emotional issue and that if it is exploited properly, it would fetch a lot of political mileage for the PRP.

According to sources in the PRP, Chiranjeevi was surprised at the response Jagan had received in the district, which the PRP feels its stronghold. Even in Chiranjeevi’s own village Mogalturi, Jagan had got a rousing reception. So, unless the PRP president makes a whirlwind visit to all these places, the party would go down in the dumps very soon.
