Rift between CM and Jagan camps

The communal clashes in the Old City of Hyderabad have widened the rift between the camps of Chief Minister K Rosaiah and Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.

Though there is a hush talk going on in the Congress circles that the riots could be a handiwork of Jaganmohan Reddy camp to destabilise the Rosaiah government, it was Nizamabad MP Madhu Yashki who made an open statement that certain forces within the Congress were trying to pull down the government and demanded that there should be a thorough inquiry into the allegations.

This has led to serious retort from the MLAs belonging to Jagan camp. Congress MLA from Kadapa Srikanth Reddy warned that if Madhu Yashki does not stop making such baseless allegations, his tongue would be torn into pieces. 

Another pro-Jagan MLA Malladi Vishnu demanded that Yashki be suspended from the party. Immediately, Secunderabad Cantonment MLA P Shankar Rao came to Yashki’s rescue. “Those who are warning the MP should first know about the Congress party’s address and Sonia Gandhi’s residence in Delhi. There is nothing wrong in what Yashki commented,” he said.

Rosaiah, however, tried to calm down the tempers, saying there was no basis for the allegations that the riots were the handiwork of a few vested interests in the party. “We have to make statements in a cautious manner and not without any basis,” he said.
