The Praja Rajyam Party activists might have attacked ABN-Andhra Jyothy channel office in Jubilee Hills for airing scurrilous reports against the party, but in a way the reports have only helped party president Chiranjeevi, according to analysts.
The channel reported that the financial position of the PRP is pretty bad and it is facing serious resource crunch, so much so that the party is virtually resorting to borrowings to pay rents to the party offices in the state capital and also at the district headquarters. It also had telecast a few quotes from the PRP leaders to that effect.
Though the PRP leaders say the reports have caused a lot of damage to the reputation of the party as well as its president, sources say Chiranjeevi is now being flooded with calls from NRIs and his fan clubs across the globe offering party funds. And Chiranjeevi has also seen it as the best opportunity to mobilise huge party funds from fund-raisers in the coastal areas and from abroad.
Since he is being viewed as the lone champion for Samaikyandhra, a large number of businessmen are also expected to come forward to support his campaign and sponsor his trips. So, thank ABN-Andhra Jyothy.
