Deepika padukone first in a Telugu film

After taking Kannada and Hindi film industry by storm, ravishing actress and heartthrob of many, Deepika Padukone will make a foray into Telugu movies in the Upendra starrer Kantri Mogudu.

The movie is the dubbed version of Aishwarya, the Kannada superhit which completed a 100 day run at the box office.

The movie is produced by Roopkumar V and presented by D Gopal Krishna under the banner of Uma Maheshwari films. Indrajith Venkatesh is the director. The dubbing for this family oriented movie is completed and recording of songs is underway.
