The Puri Prabhas team has come up once again after ‘Bujjigadu’ and this is a litmus test for both since they have not been able to score success lately. How good is ‘Ek Niranjan’? Let us see..

Story:
Chotu (Prabhas) is an orphan who makes an earning by catching hold of criminals and taking commission from the police. He is also in search of his parents and keeps pampering Chidambaram (makrand) his guardian to reveal the truth since he kidnaps Chotu when he is a baby. Things change when Sameera (kangana), a music teacher enters into his life and along with her also come Johnny Bhai (sonu), Kailash (mukul) and others. What is the link between all? Does Chotu get to meet his family in the end? All this forms the rest of the story.

Performances: Prabhas
Yet another energetic performance from him but he needs to change his dialogue delivery which has become repetitive and sometime rolling. The idea of getting closer to the masses is a good thought but this doesn’t work always. He can recollect his diction for ‘Chatrapathi’ which had more punch and impact.

Kangana
Though not very pretty, she has got an innocent sex appeal making her attractive. She looks just average and did justice to her character given her debut in Telugu.

Sonu Sood
Interesting and entertaining performance, his sequences with Brahmaji are a highlight. He seems to be filling the gap of Raghuvaran in a large way with his body language and voice.

Brahmanandam, Ali, Abhinayasri
The trio has come up with a comedy track but that has not been able to impress. Both Brahmi and Ali look stereotype. Abhinayasri looks shapely and looks seductive in few scenes.

Mukul Dev, Makrand Deshpande
These Bollywood imports were not required as their characters didn’t have much to offer. Not really sure why they had to be roped in. Makrand is a highly talented actor but his caliber was not used properly.

Others like Posani, Venu Madhav, Sunil did their bit as required but not very appealing.

Tanikella Bharani and Sangeetha are ok.

Technically, the highlight in the movie is music. All departments functioned well and the production values are also impressive. The director seems to have not kept full energies in some areas of script. Hence the drop down in entertainment graph here are there.

Analysis:
The movie promises good entertainment in the take off but the graph suffers in the flow. The problem in the movie is with the lack of comedy carried by comedy artistes. The actual comedy was worked well with Prabhas and Sonu Sood. And it is obvious that the choice of heroine has reduced the scope of attracting family audience to theatres. It’s bluntly limited to mass audiences and as there is no potential for the movie to allure repeat-viewers, the purpose wouldn’t work completely.

First half of the movie is entertaining but the second half is disturbing to some extent. The graph has fallen down when the narration goes to Bangkok. Puri seems to be so obsessed with Bangkok in his films and hardly understands the need to roll cameras there every time. The climax gets mixed response- some feel that it’s subtle to end the movie that way but others may feel it’s incomplete.

On a whole, it’s a movie that hasn’t reached expectations although entertained to some extent.

Michael Jackson delivered a posthumous thriller Tuesday as fans flocked to worldwide premieres of a documentary film billed as the final concert performance of the King of Pop.

Four months after Jackson’s death, red carpets were rolled out for 18 simultaneous screenings on five continents for "This Is It," culled from more than 100 hours of footage taken from rehearsals for the pop icon’s comeback.

The Los Angeles premiere began as parts of the city were plunged into darkness by outages caused by powerful winds. Gesturing to the gusts buffeting the event, Jackson’s former manager Frank DiLeo joked: "He’s happy. You can feel him spinning around in the air here … He’s looking down right now laughing his rear end off."

The Hollywood screening mirrored events being held in Europe, Africa, Asia and South America before the movie makes its formal release in 99 countries on Wednesday for a limited two-week release.

In Beijing, a troupe of Jackson impersonators grabbed their crotches and moonwalked for hundreds of screaming fans as the movie premiered in China.

Fans wearing single white gloves and clutching posters of the late pop star shrieked as the lookalikes danced in unison to hits like "Thriller" and "Beat It" outside the central Beijing cinema where the film was screened at midnight.

One diehard Chinese fan, 60-year-old Zhao Min, said Jackson’s music was "full of vitality." "I love his moonwalk very much," Zhao said.

Early reviews of the movie Tuesday were positive. The USA Today newspaper said that while the film did not "restore Jackson to his past glory" it did "offer glimpses of his bygone greatness."

"The songs remind us that early this summer, the world lost a genuine, if genuinely troubled, star," the paper opined.

Melanie Hillman, a television producer who attended the Los Angeles premiere, said the movie had captured the imagination of the audience.

"His way of rehearsing was that he was giving 110 percent. It was unbelievable, you could feel it," she told AFP.

"Sometimes you were sitting in your seat like, ‘wow.’ People were crying, clapping, cheering."

Advance tickets to shows in several countries sold out within days as fans scrambled to be among the first to see a film billed by Sony Pictures as the movie of "a concert that never happened."

Jackson, who died on June 25 aged 50, spent the previous four months rehearsing in Los Angeles for a grueling series of 50 concert spectaculars scheduled to begin at London’s 02 Arena in July. More than 800,000 tickets had been sold for the concerts, with organizers promising one of the "most expensive and technically advanced" live shows ever.

Video footage from the rehearsals had been intended to help organizers critique the show and was never intended for public viewing. Sony bought the footage for 60 million dollars after executives saw only several minutes.

The movie also got a stamp of approval from Jackson’s long-time friend and confidante, actress Elizabeth Taylor, who was privy to a sneak preview.

Taylor, who recently underwent heart surgery, hailed the movie as the "single most brilliant piece of filmmaking I have ever seen" in a tweet on micro-blogging site Twitter.

"It cements forever Michael’s genius in every aspect of creativity."

Despite the anticipation surrounding the film, a group of diehard Jackson fans had launched an online campaign urging devotees of the singer to boycott the movie, claiming it hides the truth about his final days.

The group claims on its website "This-Is-Not-It" that the movie attempts to mask Jackson’s physical frailty as he maintained a punishing schedule of rehearsals.

"In the weeks leading up to Michael Jackson’s death, while this footage was being shot, people around him knew that he looked like he might have died," the group said. "Those who stood to make a profit chose to ignore it."

However audience members who saw the first screening on Tuesday said Jackson looked healthy in the film.

"Michael Jackson was very fit. Very healthy. It was the old Michael Jackson, the young Michael Jackson," Hillman said. "I was really surprised how creative and healthy and rhythmic.

He may not admit that he is dating Kristen Stewart, but Twilight star Robert Pattinson has said that he has a "natural chemistry" with his co star.

The 23 year old actor, who is rumoured to be dating his co star Stewart, says filming passionate scenes with her is easy, Ok! magazine reported online.

"There’s a natural chemistry going on with Kristen," said Pattinson. The British actor was worried that the chemistry would disappear in the film’s sequel, ’New Moon’, but things went smoothly. "Even doing this sequel, it’s so easy. I was really worried that I wouldn’t know how to do it again, but it’s so easy to play off her," he added. Pattinson is planning to return to his home country once the shooting for the third sequel ’Eclipse’ is done.

Director David Slade is filming the final few scenes for the film, due out next year, and will be sending the actors home this weekend.

Creating The History Magadheera 80 Cr Record

It appears that the victory march of the magnum opus ‘Magadheera’ is still on and all is left to fate and time to decide when this will end. As per the latest reports, the news is that Magadheera has now touched the Rs 80 crores mark which means that a new record has been set in Tollywood history.

The mega blockbuster has touched this magic number after 75 days of its screening and it looks confident in touching the 100 day mark in no time. The maximum collection is said to have come from the Nizam area and it is estimated to be close to Rs 24 crores beating the past record of ‘Arundhati’.

Interestingly, the state of Karnataka has reported approximately Rs 6 crores and this is more than the collections got in some key business centers of our state. So all records set by previous blockbusters like ‘Pokiri’ ‘Arundhati’

However, she had no time to recover and she was asked to report for the shooting of Chai Garam in Thailand soon after. Jr NTR Adurs Audio release on 20th November

Jr NTR, VV Vinayak’s combination upcoming movie is getting ready to hit screens on December 18th. The title Adurs has been going on for a while but the makers are still considering LavKus and Vaade Veddu along with Adurs.

The other two titles may be more appropriate for the movie as Jr NTR is playing a dual role. Nayanatara and Sheela are playing opposite Tarak. Devi Sri Prasad is composing the music and is being produced by Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan.

Nandamuri Kalyanram has come up with his third venture from his home banner and the expectations were high since the pre release talk was quite positive. Whether it matches to the reality or not, let us see.

Story:

Bhavani (Mukesh Rishi) and Narasimha (Jayaprakash) are best friends turned foes due to misunderstandings caused by Yadu (Ashish). This is told to Ram (Kalyan), son of Bhavani and he decides to play game with Yadu.

He is successful in that but in due course falls in love with Anjali (Hansika). However, a sequence of events takes place and Ram realizes that Anjali is the daughter of Narasimha. Now, he has to ensure that both sworn enemies come together to accept for his marriage with Anjali. Whether he is successful or not forms the rest of the story.

Performances: Kalyanram

He has given a standard performance and there is nothing new or variety that he offered. Given the comedy quotient, he should have been more charging and expressive. His naturally handsome looks are nice. Costumes are also good.

Hansika motwani

She has turned out to be a real gorgeous doll after her last movie ‘Kantri’. She looks sexy and wears some really attractive outfits and this would provide a visual delight. Performance is as usual but her beauty overshadows most of her drawbacks.

Mukesh Rishi, Jayaprakash Reddy both senior actors came up with a standard performance but the makers could have looked at extracting more from Mukesh. Jayaprakash Reddy gives the required dose of humor, performance and the bad looks. Both of them are versatile.

Brahmanandam, Ali, Raghu Babu- the trio has come up with decent performances but the energy could have been better in the line. Raghu Babu in particular is good and he does these roles very well.

Analysis:

The film relies mostly on the technical aspects and the focus has been on the style and presentation than the content and punch in the story. While the first half is just okay, the real story picks up in second half and there are traces of movies like ‘Dhee’ ‘Ready’ etc and protagonist using brain than brawn has become the in thing now.

The mass audience would relish the presence of Hansika, songs and the comedy part but overall, there is no rhythm and there are fluctuations in the depiction of emotions. The film is good in parts but on a whole there should be something more. The movie is on the lines of ‘Ready’ but could have handled with more power in dialogues and screenplay.

In no time, the chillies started showing their passion towards the silky skin of Neetu and the poor girl developed rashes. It seems that when the camera was on, she was busy enticing Vishal and as soon as she heard ‘cut’, she used to run to another bath tub which had cool water and spent hours. Neetu says that this was a rather ‘hot’ experience but she liked it.

But then, she maintains that this is something she will always remember and is sad that the rashes have been quite itchy for her. Given the spice that Neetu has added with her real chilli experience, she sure seems to be having a key role to play alongside Vishal on the screen than the other two beauties.

The much publicized film that tuned most popular with the super hit song ‘Ravanamma’ has released today. Let us see how it faired well.

Story:

Sai (Sai Ram) is a motor mechanic. His father (Chandramohan) works as a clerk in a construction company owned by a rich real estate lord Surya Prakash (Sayaji Shinde). Surya Prakash’s daughter Aishwarya (Bindu Madhavi) is an arrogant girl. Consequences make Sai and Aishwarya love together. How Surya Prakash reacts to that forms the main story.

He gives Sai an offer that he is ready to give his daughter to him if he can earn at least half of his property. But Sai says that if financial status is the barrier for marriage, he would bring down Surya Prakash to his standard. Things move accordingly in second half and finally how Sai gets success is the climax.

Performances Sai Ram:

He groomed to some extent but stills needs to be. His hair style and costumes are in tune with the character he played but his dialogue delivery is pitiful. He is not appealing for any set of audiences with that. He needs to get trained in diction part.

Bindu Madhavi:

She looked spicy and perfectly gelled well in arrogant role. Director proved successful in giving a different look for her and broken the jinx of family look that she acquired with ‘Avakai Biryani’. Raksha is ok as rich mother of heroine and Sayaji also grooved well in his part. Chandramohan and Kovai Sarala did their part as parents of poor hero.

Ali and Venu Madhav could bring only minimum laughs with their Magadheera spoof, although there is better scope. Music is good and trendy. Dialogues are good, screenplay is normal and direction is average.

Disappointments: Hero’s diction

Analysis:

The movie is a reverse of Chiranjeevi’s ‘Challenge’. The protagonist in this denies the offer given by his rich lover’s father to become rich and marry his daughter. But in turn he gives a bumper challenge that he would bring that rich man to his level (poor) to marry his lover as financial status is the only barrier for their marriage.

The scope to make it a wonderful entertainer is very big. But this movie is limited only to a few laughs. The entertainment graph has been up and down since the beginning. A few scenes like when heroine beating the hero with stick received good response. The credit goes to dialogues there.

The ‘Magadheera’ spoof of Ali and Venu Madhav started with promising entertainment but that ended up very weak. There are no thrills and chills and everything goes as predicted. On a whole, the exercise is done but that’s not sufficient for this type of film. The take off is good, first half ends up with a powerful interval bang. The second half goes as expected and finally it ends up as predicted. The film could have raised interest levels with more humor in it. To sum up, it ended up as a mundane treat.
