Actress Sneha has now caught red handed while doing pradakshinams in a temple with slippers. It is a well known practice of all Hindus to do Pradakshinams in temple premises with barefoot. But Sneha did that wearing slippers. It happened at the famous Tiruvannamalai temple where the length of pradakshinam was about 14 km. The activity is called Girivalam there. When Sneha was seen with slippers she received big objection from temple authorities.
But Sneha gave explanation saying that she was suffering from some leg ailment and hence doctor advised her to move only with slippers round the time.
“I know I shouldn’t walk there with slippers. Hence I used slippers made of cloth to do girivalam”, said Sneha.
But the slippers are slippers whether they are made of cloth or leather, say temple authorities. A religious group called Hanuman Sena has started protests against Sneha in Vellore regarding this.
