Wearing bikini no big deal for Sonam

Sonam Kapoor may have played the demure girlnext door in Saawariya and Delhi 6, but she has no qualms about wearing a bikini on screen. The reason: “I wear it in real life as well”. Sonam claims since she has worn angarkhas, salwarkameez, jeans, skirts and gunjees, among other things, on screen, she can also sport a bikini if required.

“If my character requires me to be on a beach, I would go for proper swimwear a bikini,” she says. The actress, meanwhile, has gone for a makeover for her next film Ayesha , which is dad Anil’s home production.

Sonam stars opposite Abhay Deol and will be seen in a stylish avatar in the film. Ayesha is a modern day Indian adaptation of Jane Austen’s novel Emma and Sonam plays a high society girl from Delhi.

We heard Sonam and Abhay are attending workshops for voice modulation to get the diction right. In fact, the entire cast is attending a workshop by theatre artiste Jayati Bhatia to develop their characters.

Sonam is reportedly spending almost five hours a day in the workshop.The film goes on the floors in August and will be directed by Rajshri Ojha. That’s not all. Sonam is also busy working out dates for Dharma Productions’ I Hate Love Stories, directed by Punit Malhotra.

“He is a young, earnest director. It’s a young man’s sweet romantic take on love. It will be a lovely film for Imran (Khan) and me. It is a love story, a date flick,” Sonam had said in an interview recently.
