Shilpa shoots her IPL video

The City Palace in Jaipur has been the venue for quite a number of film shoots, including the recent Salman-starrer Veer.

But this shoot was a bit different. Here, the sexy Shilpa Shetty, flaunting the t-shirt of her IPL team, was grooving to some racy beats. Yes, the leggy lass was shooting the promotional video for the team – in true royal style, on a chariot with the red walls of the City Palace as the backdrop.

“Since the time we conceptualised this video, we always knew that we would shoot it in Jaipur. The entire video has a feel of historical palaces and royalty attached to it. It felt so good to shoot on our home turf,” says Shilpa.

But, what she apparently liked best was the support she got from fans who had turned up to catch a glimpse of the star. “The support that I got from the fans was overwhelming,” shares Shilpa as she adds, “I felt a different kind of responsibility during the shoot. The video is meant to evoke a certain kind of feeling in the team’s fans. It has a strong Bollywood feel to it. But the IPL is an association of cricket and Bollywood. That’s the way it is meant to be.”
